FRECKLE donuts / Yoyogi Park
代々木公園のすぐそばに誕生した、日本発のフレンチクルーラー専門店「FRECKLE donuts」
デザインの着想源となったのは、ドーナツの製造工程そのもの。粘土状にした原料を絞り出して成形し、高温で焼成する。そのプロセスを小麦色の90角タイルに重ね合わせ、ーマテリアルとして店の顔を作りあげた。
商品の受渡口となるカウンターは建物と道路との関係から導き出したかたち。一組ずつしか入れない小さな空間だが、店先に並ぶ時間までも体験の一部となっている。
Located just steps from Yoyogi Park, FRECKLE donuts is a French cruller specialty shop originating in Japan.
The design draws inspiration from the donut-making process itself—extruding a clay-like dough, shaping it, and baking it at high temperatures. This sequence was translated into spatial form through the use of wheat-colored 90mm tiles, which serve as the shop’s key material and defining feature.
The counter, conceived from the relationship between the building and the street, functions as the point of exchange. With space for only one party at a time, even the act of waiting in line outside has been intentionally integrated as part of the overall customer experience.
